Sutherland Care Forum is always looking for new volunteers to fulfil any of the services it provides. No experience is needed as full training and support is provided and a mileage allowance is offered.

There are many different ways you could help from visiting a client at home for a cup of coffee and a chat to driving someone to an appointment or making a regular phone call to someone lonely. If you are interested in this rewarding role please contact the Service Manager who can talk you through what is involved. She is very experienced at partnering volunteers with clients to ensure that the experience is enjoyable for both. She can also explain how to get a PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) certificate which is the only bit of ‘red tape’ needed.
